FAQ

How do I choose the right cover?

The cover you choose will depend on a number of factors, for instance, if you plan to use your cover for an extended period of time in direct weather conditions you would require a more heavy duty cover, such as the Aussie Covers brand which is constructed using 600D marine grade fabric. However if you garage your vehicle for the majority of the time and you only plan to use your cover while you're on the road, you may consider using a lighter grade of cover, such as the Riese Covers brand which is constructed using 300D marine grade fabric.

How do I choose the right size?

Choosing the correct size is very important, and it is always best to manually measure the metric length of your Caravan BEFORE placing your order to ensure you receive a cover offering the best overall fit. If an incorrect size is chosen, the Buyer will incur all freight charges to return the incorrect size to the Supplier, plus the new freight charges to send the correct size.

Some manufacturer's Owner's Manuals refer to INTERNAL measurements when quoting the size, and others refer to EXTERNAL measurements. Whilst all covers come in similar size increments, i.e. 16'-18' / 18'-20' etc, not all brands are identical in their metric measurements within each size bracket. A metric length measurement is always recommended to ensure you choose a cover that best fits the actual length of the Caravan you own.

How do I fit my cover?

Generally most covers are fitted in much the same way. However we supply a number of different brands of cover so there are some minor differences in the way they are fitted and secured, but as a general rule of thumb the following instructions will assist you with fitting your cover correctly.

You will need two people to fit your Cover. Should not be fitted to wet Caravan.

  1. Make sure all aerials and protruding objects are fully retracted.

  2. Lay the cover out at the back (off-side Not door-side) of your caravan.

  3. Look for the front tag on the hem of the cover to indicate direction

  4. Stretch the caravan cover until it its at full length

  5. When the cover is fully stretched, find and unzip the 3 zips, which will open one side of the cover

  6. Lay the unzipped side panels over the top of the caravan cover

  7. One person should stand at each end of the caravan

  8. Check location of any obstruction such as air conditioners antennas etc.

  9. When both people are ready, carefully pull the cover from the off side to the front door side

  10. Then fit the elasticised hem of the cover to the front and rear of your caravan

  11. Pull all 3 zippers to the closed position.

  12. Pass the nylon straps under your caravan and fasten buckles to hold cover firmly in place

You have now fitted your cover!

(Note: A small stepladder may assist with fitting your cover).
